Philosophy, that wonderful company you know and love for their terrific scented bath products and fun, uplifting, and often inspirational packaging has recently teamed up with an organization for a very important cause. 100% of all sales from August 15th – October 15th of their deliciously aromatic, Oatmeal Raisin high foaming shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath 3-in-1 will benefit Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.
Did you know...

Ø Pediatric cancer is referred to as an “orphan disease” because there is little or no profit to be made by the pharmaceutical companies and the reason why they ignore pediatric cancers for the most part.

Ø Each year in the U.S., nearly 13,000 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer. That’s the equivalent of two average size classrooms diagnosed each school day.

Ø Today about 75% of children diagnosed with cancer become long-term survivors yet in the U.S. cancer remains the leading cause of death from one year through adolescence; more than any other disease. In the early 1950s, less than 10 percent of childhood cancer patients could be cured, proof that research can and is making a difference.

Ø Historically, some of the most basic and essential treatment strategies now employed in the fight against cancer – such as multi-agent chemotherapy and combined modality therapy – were developed through pediatric cancer research.

Ø In the U.S., combined, the cancers of children, adolescents and young adults to age 20 are the sixth most common cancer in the U.S.

Ø Recent reports indicate that nearly two-thirds of childhood cancer survivors experience significant medical problems resulting from their original cancer and/or its treatment.

Cookies For Kids' Cancer is dedicated to funding research for new and improved treatment for pediatric cancers by making it easy to support and fund raise for this worthy charity through bake sale drives. By offering four easy steps to follow from planning to sale, the organization offers several tips to creating a successful initiative. Their own cookies are also available for sale on their site, with 70% of all profits directly benefiting research.

Get involved with Cookies For Kids' Cancer by finding out how your contribution helps this very worthy cause and support Philosophy's donation by purchasing their Oatmeal Raisin 3-in-1 wash on their website.

I found out that Cancer remains the number one disease that claims the lives of our children. Each year cancer kills more children under the age of 18 than asthma, diabetes, cystic fibrosis and AIDS combined.

Cinnamon Buns! I've had that in the past and loved it. It worked better than any other shampoo/conditioner I've ever tried. And smells a LOT better.
