HappyGreenBee Sportsuit Review *GIVEAWAY*

When it comes to swimwear, I want my daughter to be comfortable. I hate swimsuits that ride up, fall down, or hit in spots that are unbecoming. My husband on the other hand is obsessed with modesty. Now I love a good bikini and think they look adorable on little girls but he believes our daughter should be covered at all times. We were both thrilled when we received the adorable cotton sportsuit in watermelon/sky by HappyGreenBee, our favorite organic designer of children's clothes. It has the perfect mix of child style, comfort, and best of all eco friendly to keep all of us happy. Now why is eco friendly important to us: Organic cotton is especially great for infants and children. Whereas pesticide and chemically-treated clothing traps heat and prevents skin from absorbing adequate moisture—often causing rashes and eczema on sensitive skin—organic cotton is natural and breathable. Children with allergies particularly benefit, as organic cotton does not have the residual toxic residues that linger on conventional cotton. Even those without sensitive skin find organic cotton more comfortable and kid-friendly. The longer fibers stretch as children grow.

The first thing I fell in love with was the softness and natural stretch of the sportsuit and of course the vibrancy of the trademark HappyGreenBee stripes. Bonus that it matches the watermelon/sky tights that we reviewed this past spring. My daughter did ballet over the summer and I kept staring at this sportsuit in her drawer. It's made of 100% organic cotton and doesn't scream swimsuit, although it looked great at the water park. I repeatedly asked myself, am I brave enough to put my daughter in something so bold, so look-at-me in a sea of pastel ballerinas? Finally, one Saturday I bit the bullet and we arrived to class wearing our full HappyGreenBee getup. She definitely got kudos from the parents and even the teacher loved her bright little look and the suit performed perfectly for dance class as well as the pool.

HappyGreenBee makes something for every little bee, from reversible hoodies to A-line sundresses to sweet cloth dolls in maching fabrics to coordinate with. Their best deals can be found in their Factory Store where selection changes frequently and all orders over $15 are shipped absolutely free. Get your own HappyGreenBee available online at their site.

Will Happy Green Bee Clothing make you irresistible to animals?

Perhaps not, but it's a tough call. Happy Green Bee is a wonderful new company started by Roxanne Quimby, who along with her partner, also began Burt's Bees in 1989. Now, she's moved on to designing beautiful organic clothes for babies and children. Her clothes are made with cotton untreated by pesticides, toxic dyes, or chemical bleaches. And why is that important? Organic cotton is especially great for infants and children.

Happy Green Bee creates clothes that are bright, fun, and ecologically responsible, which makes the animals and my daughter very happy. We were lucky enough to try these adorable tights you see her wearing in watermelon and sky and oh my were they a hit! They are wonderfully made with nice thick fibers, terrific stretch, and durability. And this was a day of crouching, kneeling, and horseback riding. The tights wore like a glove and looked fabulous at the end of the day. I only wish I could have a pair in every color combination they come in, not to mention dress, cardigan, leggings, skort... well you get the point. Happy Green Bee, you have my address. And lucky for you, they can have yours too because these lovely folks are offering a pair of tights for your little one to try too. Just follow the directions and you're on the way to a very stylish, very Green, little girl.

The Details: One lucky reader will receive their choice and size of tights from Happy Green Bee. The rules: Visit Happy Green Bee and tell me which of their clothing articles is your favorite AND tell me which tights you'd want and the size.
