Little Husks Tableware Review *GIVEAWAY*

11:15 AM Posted by Erin

So often these days, parents are turning to organic produce as a healthier way to nourish their kids and steering clear of eating and drinking utensils that contain BPA and other harmful chemicals. It seems more than ever, we care about what our children consume and the manner in which they consume it making the Little Husks Tableware Set (rtv $26.95) from simplygoodstuff.com so choice for health and eco conscious parents everywhere.
Created entirely from the husks of rice, Little Husks plates and cups feel and look exactly like plastic. The only difference is, in optimal conditions they are 100% biodegradable and begin the breakdown process after a week of sitting in water but will last years under normal conditions.

We were sent the entire set shown above which includes their Dinner Plate, Spaghetti Plate, Soup Bowl, Drinking Cup, & Fork & Spoon Set. to review and were completely impressed with the durability and appearance of the natural, flecked material. My daughter loves having a tableware set that is hers alone so she was thrilled with these pieces for that reason alone. Both my husband and I approved of what a useful way this is to reduce our carbon footprint. Our only qualm would be the paper instruction stickers that were affixed to the front of each piece. Since they were so securely applied and did not rip off cleanly, it took quite a while and a lot of elbow grease to get them completely off. I would love to see them include an instruction card instead to make it a bit easier on parents. Otherwise, we highly recommend this product to anyone looking to feed their children or themselves from healthy and eco friendly products as an alternative to plastic and paper plates.
