MixMyGranola Review *GIVEAWAY*

10:14 PM Posted by Erin

**CONTEST CLOSED**

I have found love and it goes by the name of MixMyGranola. I was stoked when asked if I'd be interested in trying custom created granola. Gourmet and organic food? I am so there! Although, I've never been much into granola, I figured it'd be fun making my own blend. I had a great time perusing their attractive and colorful site with my husband as we worked on our Mix. It was hard to decide with four granola bases, mix-ins like fruit, nuts, and the not so healthy options such as organic gummy bears and candy corn. Our heads were spinning with all our options, which means your own mix is full of endless possibilities, but we were able to narrow it down and soon our blend was created which we dubbed Sir-Mix-A-Lot (you can name your blend too!). We were even able to see Sir's nutrional value right on the page with their Nutrition Calculator. After that came the waiting part. By the time we'd finished our transaction we were salivating and hoped the folks at Mixmygranola would hurry up and get to mixing. We were happily surprised by the next afternoon to receive an email that our Mix had been created and was ready to ship. The very next day we got home to find our sleek MixMyGranola tube waiting for us on our front porch.
We didn't hesitate to crack it open and were blown away with the quality and freshness of our blend. Every ingredient was crisp, crunchy, and chewy just like it should be. Both my husband and I were hooked from the first bite. It was so delicious straight out of the can, with milk like cereal, on yogurt, or as a healthy topping on ice cream. We ripped right through our Mix within two days and were sad to reach the bottom of the canister.

We're already contemplating our next blend although we'll have to save up a bit first. The only negative we could find on MixMyGranola is that custom created granola ain't cheap. Our blend cost $17.49 which includes $4.99 for shipping so this is definitely a luxury item. Hopefully they'll be able to lower their prices as their company continues to take off but in the meantime, it's a really great idea and a fantastic product. If you're looking for something different for mom, MixMyGranola would make a great gift for Mother's Day. It's a healthy present for teacher's last day, and a thoughtful birthday present for the guy who has everything. Or just be selfish and get some for yourself.

This is the coolest thing ever! I always avoid buying premixed granolas and trail mixes because there are always things I don't want in it or things my son is allergic to!

So, we started playing with the vanilla granola, and added, strawberries, bananas, dates, pineapples, sunflower seeds, and hemp seeds ~ and we dubbed this Dylan's Granola because it's nut-free just for him!

(then we created two other mixes ~lol~)

Thanks for pointing this out and blogging about it. This is the first I've ever seen it. I agree with you on the price point, it's a luxury item... but I did see that they offer buy 4 get 1 free.
