Cirque Du Soleil

Being a mom blogger has it's many advantages and benefits and we just received the best one yet last night. MomSelect sent my family to the circus and not just any circus, Cirque Du Soleil's production of Saltimbanco. Translated, Saltimbanco means to "To jump on a bench." Makes sense as we were practically jumping in our seats the entire time. Beauty, drama, and comedy were all presented in this breathtaking performance. Here's what Cirque Du Soleil's website says about the show...

Saltimbanco explores the urban experience in all its myriad forms: the people who live there, their idiosyncrasies and likenesses, families and groups, the hustle and bustle of the street and the towering heights of skyscrapers. Between whirlwind an and lull, prowess and poetry, Saltimbanco takes spectators on an allegorical and acrobatic journey into the heart of the city.

It was human art, candy for the spirit and soul. Words cannot express the feelings we got while experiencing this show. Strong men and beautiful women entertained us with their power and grace as the jester, almost a mime who used his mouth for hilarious sound effect, kept us smiling the whole time. South Florida residents can see Saltimbanco at the Bank Atlantic Center now through June 7th. Use MomSelect's code to get the discounted Special Family Four Pack offer. If you get the chance to attend Cirque Du Soleil and especially the Saltimbanco performance, jump on it. It is the experience of a lifetime!
