I like TJ Maxx because it's near me and the prices are reasonable. I have shopped at Marshalls in the past and was able to buy Christmas presents for friends there. They have nice wallets and small gifts.

I have not been to Marshalls in a long time,. but I go to TJ MAXX all the time for great back to school clothing and bags. I also shop there for books, cards, dishes, towels, pillows, bedding, the list goes on and on. I get really good quality products for such LOW and WONDERFUL prices. If the items were priced at their suggested retail, I would never be able to afford it. Plus!!! They have Layway! I know it is pretty old school...but I never have $300 to just hand over at one time...so layway is a great way to pay it off gradually. My favorite purchase at TJ Maxx was my last set of bathroom towels. I had bought a few wash cloths from Macy's that were very expensive and bled dye and faded all over everything else in the washer. So I was very cautious when I brought the bath towels home from TJ Maxx, but they didn't bleed at all. I've had them for 6 months and they have not faded or frayed.

I love shopping at both of these stores because I always luck out with getting really nice, name brand shoes on clearance. I got a great pair of Rocketdog clogs two years ago for about $9 and they are still going on strong! Great buy!

TJ Maxx or Marshalls has great selection of lots of name brands, and best of all, with great price. You just can't beat that!
