He's Not Even. Kidding.

Seriously. We're flying to Washinton, D.C. Thursday night and this is my husband's plan for him and my daughter. Yes. He plans on "donning" a mask to prevent illness for him and my daughter in flight. He has decided he will beat the swine flu where it stands. I swear, I will not fly with this man. He is insane. And I'm married to him. Holy Crap.

I am planning on making my daughter the girl in the plastic bubble. I would wear the masks on a plane because the air isn't filtered and studies have shown that more people get sick from airplanes than anywhere else.

Oh and I would douse yourselves in antibacterial gel.

I'm sure it might be a little embarrassing but I think right now I'd probably be doing the same thing. Every breath, sneeze, cough, sniffle that people take/have in there is just recycled through the air and onto everyone else. *gag* I think I'd be driving.

That mask adds the perfect finishing touch to the princess dress/costume. lol.

@ Marianna, lol! She's a girl who can accessorize.

So, I guess masked husband wins. Oye.

I think that's a great idea. Airplanes have the sickest air there is.

Maybe you could decorate the masks a bit with stickers. Make them more of a fashion accessory.

I don't think your husband is crazy, but have him look into higher grade masks because that one is a bit thin. LOL

@Maria, you're the second person who's said that. I've passed on the tip to him. Thanks!

@Dee, He wants to draw in a smiley face. Didn't they have real cool designer face masks in China during the bird flu? We shoulda thought of that!

Shoot, I don't blame him. If I were getting on a plane I'd probably do the same. lol

I'd be tempted to wear a mask on an airplane right now too. All that recycled air in a confined space during cold and flu season - ewwwww.

Everyone's doing it, I don't blame him. Flying was, um, fun, when we flew a month ago (8 flights in 4 days, no less). Can you find the bendy ones that cup your mouth better? They have a small wire around the edges.

I would be tempted to wear a mask as well, but not sure if I really would.

    Good luck!

Normally, I would say crazy. But with all the H1N1 going around, you can't be too safe!

If her really wants to be safe he needs a respirator not just a mask. A regular mask does nothing to prevent swine flu transmission.

    Just FYI : )

At this point I have to agree with him. You still cant rely on sick people staying home.
