Since my daughter is well past the crib stage, I asked my sister to try this on her newborn's bed. Now my sister is a real "Green" mama and is resistant to using anything for her baby that is chemically processed. I've been looking for the something like this as I'm not happy with the selection of sheets at BRU. This looks like a good one. Just pricey. Thanks for the review.

Personally, I worry about wool and latex in a crib mattress since they both have the potential for allergic reactions. And even if you're not outright allergic to them you can develop a sensitivity with long-term exposure - which a baby's going to have since they'll sleep on it 12 to 14 hours a day for quite a while, especially if you also use the same mattress in a toddler bed. About.com has an article on wool allergy. And my sister-in-law, who’s a trauma nurse, says latex has been a real problem in the medical community. I'd rather stick with organic cotton. Naturepedic makes a good organic cotton crib mattress (and I think they're less expensive). They also have bedding.
